Documenting the Difference Diversity Makes,
a project funded by the Ford Foundation and coordinated by the
Center on Democracy in a Multiracial Society,
seeks to provide empirical evidence of the benefits of diversity. 

As part of this project, EOTU, the Ethnography of the University, has created Visualizing the Difference Diversity Makes, which shows how students recognize, learn about, and negotiate ethnic, racial,
and cultural difference at the University of Illinois. The student questions, observations, and reflections featured here are all drawn from student research on the university in EOTU classes.
