Bio: Nicole Ortegón

As a third year student at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Nicole Ortegón is currently working towards earning her bachelor's degree in Anthropology as well as a minor in English. Working for the Office of Minority Student Affairs, she tutors three introductory Anthropology courses: Anthropology: Human Origins and Culture, Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, and Biological Bases of Human Behavior. Upon graduation from the University of Illinois, she hopes to attend graduate school in order to pursue a career in Anthropology. Her interest in the EOTU project is manifold. However, the following are two of her primary interests in the project: 1) She is interested in the prospect of student involvement in the development of new courses and in the tailoring of existing courses; and 2) She is interested in this research initiative in hopes of exploring the pros and cons of operating predominantly within a web based environment.
