Bio: Elisa Miller

Elisa Miller is an A.B.D. graduate student in History, with a major field in Comparative Gender History (American and European) and minor fields in American National History from 1815 and U.S. Cultural and Intellectual History. Currently she is completing her dissertation, Domesticating Women: Domestic Science, Reform, and Identity in American Higher Education, 1890-1930, under the directorship of Professors Elizabeth Pleck and Sonya Michel. For the Bardeen Scholars Program, she will be examining the University of Illinois's Department of Household Science, which is one of the case studies in her dissertation.
